Assignment 2: Daylighting
In this assignment, students are required to choose a building with daylight integration that affects spatial design. Students need to study the use of lighting, space experience and so on by modeling in Autodesk Revit/Sketchup. Next, the passive design strategies must be thoroughly studied to make this building more comfortable.
REFLECTION
This mission gave me valuable experiences. It has enhanced my understanding of lighting and shadows. Through this task, I am more aware of how these environmental factors influence the atmosphere and experience of the building. I got the basic knowledge of the position of the sun path and how it affects buildings from time to time, and put forward the passive design strategies to provide users with comfortable space experiences. Finally, this task gives me the opportunity to learn how to make simple models by Autodesk Revit.
